Tribo de Judah
יהודה · Nisan (March–April) · Nophekh (Carbuncle/Ruby)
Introdução
Judah is the royal tribe of Israel, from which the messianic lineage descends. The name Judah (Yehudah) means "praise" or "thanksgiving," derived from the Hebrew root ידה (yadah). When Leah gave birth to her fourth son, she declared: "This time I will praise the Lord" (Genesis 29:35). Judah was the tribe designated to go ahead in battles and received the promise of the eternal scepter.
Bênção Patriarcal
"Judah, your brothers shall praise you; your hand shall be on the neck of your enemies; your father's sons shall bow down before you. Judah is a lion's cub; from the prey, my son, you have gone up. He crouches down, he lies down as a lion; and as a lioness, who shall rouse him? The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and to him shall be the obedience of the peoples."
— Gênesis 49:8-10
